	The reverie and obsession with unknown objects move my creations, and the tangible vicinity and the metaphysical distant lands together build my universe. The three components of circular narrative, vaguely ghostly subjects and poetic and absurd visuals permeate all my works, which span a range of forms, including film, installation, performance and sound design. I hide my personal experiences and feelings within the intricate folds of my work, but rather than chasing passive reality, I worship active illusion, from which I return to the observer those obscure, neglected spaces of the subconscious.

This work describes an adventure of an extraterrestrial spy called “J014” with the Oedipus complex. This orphan was hugged, kissed, and recognised for the first time in this journey. She thought that this “wind” gave her tenderness and gradually grew an intense feeling. Finally, she became crazily in love with the winds and burned herself to become the wind.

The notion of the 'floating signifier' was coined by Lévi-Strauss in 1950, it is also known as an “empty signifier” or “open signifier”, whose nature is to "resist the constitution of any unitary meaning". That is to say that each signifier does not necessarily correspond to a referent. Normally, it absorbs meanings from surroundings rather than emitting them. The film interweaves visual and sound symbols as the signifier with the content of dialogue and text as the signified, attempting to anchor non-existent meanings in a constant sliding of signified. The left and right images represent parallel but non-intrusive spaces and introduce this chaotic, endless predicament into the only universe established by the sound symbols, where the absolute subject is constantly collapsed, abandoned, and thus goes to an imaginary, vast and silent faraway place. “Is J014 a floating signifier?” serves as the middle chapter of the J014 series, connecting different contexts and fluctuating between different manifestations with vague, inarticulate symbols.&#38;nbsp;

"They live in a dream called J014" is the third film in the J014 series which continues the story from the second episode. The film starts with a news story of an actual aeroplane crash, in which the missing passengers and the wrecked plane are both thrown into Schrödinger's box, and the quantum state of the past, present, and future is disrupted and condensed into a dream known as J014. The triple dream worlds enacted in each of the three time periods in the work move asynchronously under the unknowable momentum of time. The past and the future map the present and are mapped at the same time. All events exist in a huge aggregate called J014, each as a link to the other.

Confronted with stringent regulations, demanding governments, and a stagnant society, people live in a condensed space, playing their role as designated in their position. They are unable to move there as if they were similar grains of rice with different forms lying in a vacuum packaging bag. In the rigid living environment where we could not communicate with each other, we make individual explorations, pondering how to escape from the stifling “rice bag” and how to face this condensed society. I gave my suggestions to these questions in The Riceland.
